About Us

Dr. Latifat is The Founder and CEO of SocksyDoc.  After surviving the crazy long hours of internal medicine rounds and long hours of doing procedures and running between patients in the clinic, she gets it.

She always hated the ugly shoes most physicians are “forced” to wear during rounds, in the name of comfort. She vowed never ever to own one of those 🤮. 

She is thrilled to share her passion for comfortable, yet beautiful socks and empowering women physicians in all the spaces they occupy- at work, at home, or out on the streets.

Because she believes that every woman physician is a badass, she has taken it upon herself that every woman physician can step into comfortable footwear that can keep up with their demanding schedule

Comfort + empowerment on a medium we wear every day? Yes, Pllllzzzz! 

She is also a mom of three children and comes from a long line of hard-working, community-minded humans. Some of her most meaningful experiences involve serving home-cooked meals to the displaced community members in downtown Los Angeles with her aunt, uncle, and cousins. In honor of her aunt and her heart for the displaced, our mission is to donate 100,000 socks. For every 3 socks we sell, we will donate a pair.

Our mission is to bring comfort, empowerment, and service together.

SocksyDoc was conceived in 2022 and birth in 2023.
